Ministries

Sunday Worship:

St. John's hold regular Sunday services at 10:15 a.m. The worship services consists of traditional hymns on our beautiful pipe organ, sermons based on Biblical scriptures, and communion throughout the year. Our Lenten services are held every Wednesday starting with Ash Wednesday and ending with Maundy Thursday before Easter.

Blessing Box:

The Blessing Box is located on the north side of the Boonville City Lake. It is filled with food and drink items for those people who are in need. St. John’s members refill the Blessing Box at least twice a week but often times the box is filled by Good Samaritans from the Boonville Community. Please feel free to take what you need or donate what you can.

Women's Guild:

By virtue of a woman's membership in the church, she automatically becomes a member of the Women's Guild. The purpose of the Guild is to unite all the women of the church in Christian fellowship with divine help and guidance to develop an understanding of the work of the church, to deepen spiritual life, to stimulate spiritual giving and to promote Christian service in the home, local church the denomination, and the community.

The women of St. John's currently provide Bereavement Meals for members that have lost a loved one, sponsor a patient at the Evansville State Hospital, visit homebound and nursing home members, and provide soup, sandwiches and desserts for Lenten Soup. Suppers our ladies also put on whole meals where the congregation can engage in fellowship (ex. Thanksgiving Meal). Our mission work includes contributing to local charities.
